Looking Back at 2022

Looking Back at 2022

As we reflect on the past year, we are proud to share some of our accomplishments and milestones in 2022. We could not have achieved these successes without the support and feedback of our valued customers and followers.

Social Media

In 2022, we saw tremendous growth on our main Facebook page, Paul's Hand Turned Creations, with over 2100 followers. We also expanded our online presence by creating reels (videos) on our process, starting a YouTube channel, and continuing to engage with our audience on Instagram. We held weekly live sessions on our main Facebook page to showcase newly turned pieces, and also held four big live sales throughout the year, including our most recent Inventory Blowout Sale on December 29th.

Additionally, we had a lot of fun on our other Facebook page, The Stitcher's Hive, with various contests and the introduction of new products. While these products didn't quite take off as we had hoped, we enjoyed the process of creating and introducing something new. This page continues to grow, with close to 800 followers.

Giveaways

In 2022, we were able to give away over $1000 in products through our various giveaways. We are excited to continue this tradition in 2023 and hope to increase our offerings through contests and possibly even a scavenger hunt. We always welcome suggestions for fun and engaging ways to interact with our community.

Other Tidbits

In the beginning of 2022, we faced personal challenges as Paul was unable to use his lathe for three months due to shoulder surgery. However, he made a full recovery and is back to turning beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces, as well as playing golf and pickleball. We also celebrated our 6th year in business, and are grateful for the support of our customers who have helped us get to where we are today.

We also made updates to our website in 2022 to improve navigation and user experience. These efforts paid off as we sold over 500 pieces that Paul turned. Custom orders were shut down on November 15th to ensure timely delivery in time for the holiday season, and Paul was able to fulfill every order within three weeks, despite some minor shipping delays.

Looking ahead to 2023, we have decided to focus on large events in the community. This decision was influenced by several factors, including the hot summer weather in North Carolina, the convenience and success of online sales, and the desire to take some time off to visit our family. If you are local to our area, keep an eye out for us at these events.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our customers and look forward to another year of growth and success in 2023. Thank you for your continued support.
